Application instructions for all applicants
The CCFFDIA is currently enrolling spots for the 2026 academy in the following categories fire, law enforcement, coroners/ medical legal death investigators and other. Please use the table below to ensure that you click on the category appropriate to your profession begin your application. The application forms are specific to each category (fire, law enforcement, etc.) and require applicants to verify membership in the category with supervisor information, professional email and other personal credentials. Application details will be verified for each potential attendee prior to confirmation emails being sent out. Applicants are asked why they want/need to attend the course. This information is important as spots are limited, and course need and applicability are considered during the validation process. Preference may be given to those who have prerequisite training and have completed the suggested course requirements (CFITrainer.net). For potential attendees that secure an open spot with their registration, the spot is not confirmed until payment is received. Once validation is complete emails will be sent containing payment instructions. Individuals that do not pay course fees by the due date will lose their spot in the course and their spot will be given to registrants on the waiting list. The table below clarifies the appropriate categories for each attendee and contains links to each application.
